Scholarships

As part of our ongoing commitment to education, the ESFCU Board of Directors awards/funds the following scholarships each year.  

Emporia State University

ESFCU sponsors a scholarship to be awarded each year to an  undergraduate member who is in good standing and is or will be enrolled at ESU.

Applicants must have been a member for least one year prior to the semester for which the application is submitted.

Fill out the application completely, and return it to the credit union by March 1st. The award will be made for the following fall and spring semesters. Applications can also be picked up at ESFCU. For more information contact us at 620-342-2336.

Flint Hill Technical College

We are proud to serve the employees and students of the Flint Hills Technical College (FHTC). Because of our commitment to education and those involved in education, this scholarship was established.  For more information call FHTC at 620-343-4600.

To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must meet and maintain the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum high school or college cumulative 2.75 GPA.
  • Student enrolling for the first time or a student who has completed a technical certificate at FHTC and pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
  • Must be a post-secondary degree-seeking student enrolling in the fall semester. Priority will be given to full-time enrollment. Part-time enrollment will be considered.
  • Completion of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). However, financial need will not be the determining factor in awarding this scholarship.

Students must complete the FHTC scholarship application process. Applications will be reviewed and awarded according to the established criteria and the FHTC Scholarship Committee procedures.

Emporia High Graduating Senior

Emporia State Federal Credit Union has established an annual $500 scholarship for one Emporia High School graduating senior. This scholarship may be used toward any accredited university or technical college. Please contact a counselor at Emporia High School for details.
